FAQ
Do I have to reformat the drive to exFAT to write to it on Mac?
No. Reformatting to exFAT does enable writing on Mac, but it erases everything on the drive. DiskBee adds native NTFS write support to macOS via a system extension — your data stays exactly as it is, plug and play.
What's the difference between the free version and Pro?
The free version offers NTFS read-only access, mount management and BitLocker drive unlock (read-only browse & copy-out) forever — no time limit, no activation required; the website download edition also includes the four-level disk structure check. Are my file contents uploaded or collected?
Never. All disk read/write and diagnostics operations run entirely on your Mac — we never collect or upload any file contents, file names, or directory structures from your drives. We only collect the device fingerprint (device SN and UUID) needed to complete transactions, plus device technical info for product improvement that never includes volume names, disk serial numbers, or any file content.
